Climbingsocks - Best Socks for Climbers

Welcome Climbing Fan!
About us

As a climber, you probably know the problem that your climbing shoes get soaked in sweat at some point. In combination with the dust from the climbing hall or from the ground, a slippery patina develops in your climbing shoes. In the further course often paired with an unpleasant odor development. Conventional socks are often rightly frowned upon for climbing, as they worsen the feeling of stepping on the toes or are simply too thick.

We have made it our business to solve exactly these problems for you.

We? These are Bettina and Magnus, two passionate climbers. Over the years we have had many climbing adventures together. From various climbing halls, to rock climbing and bouldering at different sport climbing spots in Europe, to sporty and classic alpine routes in the entire Alpine region and beyond. In our regular training sessions and extensive climbing trips, we have always longed for a suitable solution for our feet that meets our requirements as climbers.

A wafer-thin layer, like a second skin. Extremely tear-resistant, which enables the finest feeling, especially in the tips of the toes and in the heel area, and does not create any pressure points. Climbing socks that absorb dirt and sweat at the same time, yet dry quickly and also ensure that the climbing shoes last a little longer. Ideally, in such a way that you can put on and take off your tight climbing shoes more easily and, if necessary, you can use your approach shoes to get on and off.

In the absence of an adequate solution, we took matters into our own hands and developed ClimbingSocks climbing socks for you.

ClimbingSocks are available in two sizes. Size S/M usually fits people with shoe size 36-41 (UK 3.5-8) and size M/L is suitable for people with shoe size 42-46 (UK 9-11.5). We recommend size S/M to customers whose shoe size is exactly between 41 and 42 (UK 8 and 9) and are unsure which size fits them best.

With ClimbingSocks, you can fit into your climbing shoes unchanged. Thanks to the climbing rope material used, putting on tight climbing shoes is even easier compared to barefoot. Your feet will slide smoothly into your climbing shoes with ClimbingSocks. In addition, ClimbingSocks will compress your feet pleasantly.

ClimbingSocks are made of polyamide and spandex. Polyamide is also used to make climbing ropes and slings. They fit snugly around the foot and are not bulky in velcro shoes. The thin material does not affect the sensitivity in the toes. ClimbingSocks are approx. 1 mm thick at the cuff. The rest of the socks are much thinner.

Thanks to the very thin, soft-feel surface, you will hardly feel the ClimbingSocks in your climbing shoes. The seams in the socks are reduced, so there are no pressure points or pain in the climbing shoes. You have the same performance as when you are barefoot in your climbing shoes.

Thanks to the quick-drying material, ClimbingSocks can be used for long, alpine climbing routes as well as comfortably for access and descent. At the entry point, changing between approach and climbing shoes is quick and easy. At the belay station, the ClimbingSocks allow you to quickly put on and take off your climbing shoes. Thanks to their light weight, the ClimbingSocks can easily be taken along as an extra pair of socks on long alpine tours.

The ClimbingSocks should be washed at a low temperature (maximum 30°) after each intensive use. The thin ClimbingSocks should not be bleached, dried, ironed or dry-cleaned. You will find all the necessary information on the back of the packaging. Please also make sure that your toenails are cut and filed. You should also avoid any contact between the ClimbingSocks and sharp or pointed objects. ClimbingSocks are made of very robust and tear-resistant material and are designed for long use. If you follow the care instructions, you will enjoy your ClimbingSocks for a long time.

The ClimbingSocks are made of polyamide (96%) and additional elastane (4%). With their polyamide fibres, the ClimbingSocks are particularly tear and abrasion resistant, as well as extremely elastic and stretchy. The material absorbs little moisture, so it dries particularly quickly and is very resistant both when wet and dry.
